How do I complete the summer book reports?
Please make sure that you write neatly and in PARAGRAPH FORM in ALL responses, and included the questions as well as your responses. You may type your assignment or you may write it by hand, but please make sure it is legible, free of spelling mistakes and that it makes sense by answering the question. Stick to the topic and don't wonder off into other topics. This means you must complete pages 1-3 for each book read. Each one of these book reports will be worth a grade for reading, language arts and social studies.

Finally, for your convenience I have included a class list of supplies for next year. You may also communicate with me if you have any questions about the assignment or anything else during the summer at

How do I complete the summer science labs?
Just follow the directions on the science experiment sheet given to you. Don't forget you must complete a science report no longer than one page for each experiment. You must have these three parts:

1. What you thought would happen or your Hypothesis
2. Your observations - provide details of what you saw or observed (you may add pictures or drawings if you want)
3. Your wondering - what are our wondering now that you completed the experiment.
Finally, some of my students did various of the experiments and you you may see them by clicking on the links below...

To watch videos explaining your "summer experiments" just look for the title of your experiment below and click on the link. Some of the students this year left you some neat explanations. Hope you enjoy them!
